Ms Exchange Failed to bacup the mailboxes

have you tried running the job from the Exchange GUI on the cluster instead of from the server. Also is the job just for the IS or are you backing up the individual mailboxes as well?

Backup command for virtual client should have I think -a or something else if I remember correctly. Check docs.


Usually this is how it runs. You will need to set remote username and pass to user with full exchange admin right - this is usually some domain admin or exchange user created for that with associated roles enabling mailbox backup.

All the above is done , but the backup for the mail box is failed.
Whats the steps from the exchange to check the privileged user have a desired permission. I tried with a "administrator" of all the domain, how can do every thing on exchange, but its also failed. any hints?

Yes, its work from the exchange server side through the gui
"MSEXCH:" work fine, but "MSEXCH:MB" not

I tried to do backup for just 1 mail box, the operation failed with following error:

Check SN 65278 and 65999. It is permission issue and in mentioned support notes you will find resolution.

Yes, and all these permission is ON.
I had tried remove Networker Server 7.3 & install 7.2.2, but with the same status also.

I don't think this is related to NW. It could be to module version, but I doubt that too. Open it up with support and see what you get (if possible both EMC and MS supports).

The account that do the backup is member of:
1- Backup Operator
2- Domain Administrator
3- Domain Users
4- Exchange Admin
5- Exchange Domain Server
6- Exchange Services
7- Schema Admin

He also has the 'Full Control"permission on the Informatio store of the mail server

My guess on this one is it will come down to some kind of privileges in Exchange - check the manual for the relevant permissions to assign.
