Networker 7.5.1 Storage Node 90% Hang on Labeling
Hi guys.
I have built a new storage node at a remote site. The config is. ESX4.0 attached to a DELL LTO4 tape drive. The VM is windows 2k8 X86 running Networker 7.5.1 SN.
On my management server. When i go to label a tape it gets to 90% and just appears to hang. All i want to backup on this is the File Server VM. Has anyone had the same problem with remote ites and if so can you shed any light.
Or
Am i better setting up the File Server as a dedicated storage node and having it back it's self up to the local tape unit?
This is the first remote site i am doing in this configuration so sorry if the questions are a bit simple.

I would configure the client as a dedicated storage node. That way it controls the arm and the only thing Networker does is send commands back and forth.
Or, if you plan to have more systems at this site, you could make it a Storage Node that way it's not limited to backing up only itself.
