VDDK5.0.1 is not included till now in NetWorker. Even the latest version NetWorker 8.0 uses VDDK 5.0.
I think this might be included in future release.
I am not sure, if you can add VDDK 5.0.1 with 7.6.3. I have not tested it and i dont find more information available on this integration. I think it should work fine.
If you get chance to test it, please share your experience here.

The NetWorker 7.6 SP3 release provides support for VADP with vSphere 5.0 and ships with VDDK version 5.0.

How about the VDDK5.0.1 ?
because we have some problem on VADP backup ,
and the VMware support reply the following .
>VDDK is available to third-party vendors to develop APIs.
>I think the general will be integrated into third-party applications
>*Advisory EMC ability to separate upgrade VDDK or updated software to VDDK update.
>*Make sure the VDDK using version 5.0 U1.
