NetWorker and DB Oracle Backup

I have a question I ask myself:

I installed 7.6sp2 a NetWorker server running on Linux Centos 5.4 and NetWorker client 7.6sp2 in Solaris 10 x86. I have an Oracle database installed on Solaris x86 and I want to save by NetWorker.

1 - Is it possible to make backups using the NetWorker client module only? if so how?

2 - Is it possible to use the module NMDA on Solaris 10 x86?

Best regards,

Louis Thierry

Hi Louis,

You can backup Oracle DB's by using NetWorker client, however that requires to stop DB's, so it will have impact on production.

About NMDA yes, you can use NMDA on Solaris 10 x86.

Thank you.

Carlos.
