NetWorker configuration using NMO in Oracle RAC
We are using NetWorker 7.4.4 and NMO 5.0 to backup an Oracle database running on a 2 node cluster. Currently we are simply backing up a single instance (node A).
This seems to work fine, however the NMO manual vaguely covers a configuration of all nodes suggesting that a backup can be load balanced and run in parallel against all the nodes in the cluster simultaneously.
I assume this would be preferable if possible for obvious reasons. I am not clear on how the indexing is handled however and would like to hear some comments from people who have experience with this configuration on the best practices for backup and restoration.
Thanks in advance.
