Networker deduplication to Avamar
Hi, I like to know if is required create a AFTD for avamar metadata, can I use EDL to store this metadata? I fact, I backuped metadada to EDL resource pool and this work fine.
The use of AFTD is recommended but not imperative?

EDL (or any other VTL) is ok. The reason one disk device is recommended is because of speed as metadata is not big and if using classical physical tape it might be a bit of bottleneck therre. VTLs do not have that. So EDl (VTL) or disk device are ok.

I think the same, but on technical papers I found the same answer every time, create a ADTF. Thanks!
