Networker does not backup anything from one specific client .
Hi ,
I have a fileserver client with 8.2.2.4 .
Networker server has also 8.2.2.4 version installed .
The backup does not work at all for about two weeks . It`s a BBB backup configuration that it`s saved to disk and when the job starts it just hangs for hours and days if i let it .
Strange thing is that the backup does not work even if i disable BBB - same behaviour .
We reinstalled the client software , restarted both the server and client ( several times) but with no luck .
Any ideas ?

First of all, you should verify whether a backup is possible at all. For this purpose run a manual backup first...
- login at the client
- execute the command to backup a small directory like: save [-s -b ]
Only if this works fine, ...
- create the appropropriate client resource
- add the client to a (new) savegroup and
- run a 'fake' test with the command: savegrp -pv [-c ] -l full -G
and verify the result.
Only if this works fine, ...
- run a 'true' test with the command: savegrp [-c ] -l full -G
and verify the result.
Then compare the configuration for the new client with the existing one.

What is the OS of the file system client that you are trying to backup using BBB ?
What do you mean when you say backing up to disk - BBB is on;y supported for AFTD or DD.
Are you able to take a normal backup - I presume NO. So first try a normal backup, see if that is successful. Then go for BBB, you can check the compatibility guide for Block Based Backup for NetWorker over here: CompGuideApp
Also for NetWorker 8.2.2 BBB is only supported for Windows 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2 more details in compatibility guide, so make sure you are backing up the right OS.
