Networker & HP MSL 4048-LTO3
Hello,
I have a problem with this jukebox, the tapes are marked full after few megabytes written, the error is:
¿event media \\.\Tape0 writing: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error., at file 2 record 20¿
The Removable Service is stopped, the drivers and the firmware are already updated with the latest available.
I try with these EMC Networker versions: 7.3.3, 7.4 and 7.4.1, but I can¿t resolve the problem.
The server is a HP Proliant DL385G2 with Win2003 R2 SP2 and the jukebox is connected to this SCSI adapter: LSI Adapter Ultra320 SCSI 2000 Series.
Do you have any suggestion?
P.S.
I¿m searching if this jukebox is supported by Networker using ¿Compatibility Guide Related Information¿ ( document ID: esg69633) , but I can¿t download the compatibility list:
http://powerlink.emc.com/km/live1/en_US/Offering_Technical/Interoperability_Matrix/DocLib/nw_7x_hwcg_1_01_2008.pdf
I receive a security error, I need a special access to download this file or this file is unavailable?
P.P.S.
I¿m sorry for my bad english
Many Thanks
Marco

Test a backup through Windows NT backup utility and see if that is successful.

The problem is now fixed, it was generated by a wrong hardware installation (the SCSI terminator was missing): unfortunately the jukebox is installed in a different country and so I can¿t do a visual check of device connection.
Many Thanks
