Networker nsravtar error
Hello everyone,
I am currently using Networker version 7.4.5.Build.726 and a windows client has been scheduled for backup.
However, NMC gives me the following error after the backup cycle, looking at the error, am not sure if the backup of this windows client has been completed or not..
nsravtar exited with "Completed with errors, client log should be examined" Please refer to logfile C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\dedup\logs\avtar_save_108880_105144.log for details
Kindly suggest any lights / resolutions
Thank you...

Most likey some files or flags missed but the backups was completed and registered, meaning there is some recoverable data.
What does the log file say?

Here is your culprit...
It looks like perhaps this log file may be still getting accessed by another program. Not something that will fail your backups but certainly will report "Completed with errors".
If you are still concerned or still run into the issue on an ongoing bases I would contact Support, specifically the Avamar experts within, and they shoudl be able to help you get a better understanding of the log file amintenance opertaion and why it may be ahving issues opening or truncating or removeing the file...

Hi,
I have escalated to system admin of the server owner since we do not have the access to the box.
Surely I will let you know the action plan taken.
