NetWorker: On decoding the credential: the authentication credential was corrupt

Hi,

Can anyone help me to fix the below mentioned error?

Please have a look on the following errors:

channel t3: starting piece 1 at Jan 19 2012 02:00:10

NetWorker: On decoding the credential: the authentication credential was corrupted, the checksums do not matchchannel t1: finished piece 1 at Jan 19 2012 13:24:43

piece handle=SXFW_lev0.CXSUBS_01n149pa comment=API Version 2.0,MMS Version 3.5.0.0

channel t1: backup set complete, elapsed time: 11:24:33

NetWorker: On decoding the credential: the authentication credential was corrupted, the checksums do not matchchannel t2: finished piece 1 at Jan 19 2012 13:24:58

piece handle=SXFW_lev0.CXSUBS_02n149pa comment=API Version 2.0,MMS Version 3.5.0.0

channel t2: backup set complete, elapsed time: 11:24:48

NetWorker: On decoding the credential: the authentication credential was corrupted, the checksums do not matchchannel t3: finished piece 1 at Jan 19 2012 13:25:01

Now, can someone suggest how fix this error "On decoding the credential: the authentication credential was corrupted, the checksums do not match" ??

Hi,

If you are on SGI, then there is a fix mentioned here:

https://support.emc.com/kb/107987

If not, there is no workaround listed for this code defect and you would need to upgrade in order to fix the problem.  Networker 7.2 version hasn't been supported since 2008.

Hi Jahan,

You don't mention what version of NetWorker you are using.  The error message you are asking about is listed in the NetWorker Error Message Guide. page 480 which contains the advice that an upgrade to NetWorker version 7.3.2 or higher should solve the problem.   If you are already on a recent version, give us more detail on what is being backed up and whether the error is consistent or intermittent.

Dear Boby,

The networker version is 7.2A00. Is there any way to fix this error in same version ?

Please help.
