Networker - Restore Client with exclude
Hello,
I have got a script for restore my client networker.
1- I put few tapes in my robot.
2- The script restore all clients present on my tapes
3- It's works with Windows client (NTFS) but i have an error when the script find a Unix client (maybe ext2 - ext3 - ext4) on my tapes.
(For your information, i have this error because i restore client ext2/3/4 on a filesystem NTFS)
How i can escape errors ? Can you help me for find a command for excluding UNIX client ?
Thanks for your help !

The SSID already specifies the source dats (client, name, level, savetime). It is unique.
If possible login to the destination client (where the data hall be restored) and exexute the the command:
recover -iN -d destination_path -S ssid

I assume NSR client resource is back? If not, create it with same clientid as recorded in mdb first.

It seems that you deleted the client resource. As Hrvje said you must re-create it first.
Also make sure that NW can resolve the hostname.

If you do mminfo -S -r client, clientid you will get information you can use to create client definition again.

You need to run command as instructed and you will get information. Unless ssid is not part of mdb (which is not something you have said so far).

clientid is entry which is unique to your client and if you have removed client definition you can see it via mminfo command (assuming your entry is in mdb which so far is valid assumption). You can see it via mminfo command as instructed earlier.

It is not clear to me where you do not see it? If you do not see it in GUI, then create client with same name as returned by mminfo query for ssid and make sure you also use same clientid during that process. Then you can run restore.

and when i do that mminfo -S "SSID find in saveset by GUI" -r name of client
i have an error ( 6143:name of volume not valide )
