NetWorker Sessions at EMC World 2013

NetWorker will be showcased in 3 sessions  this year at EMC World, The sessions will cover existing as well as upcoming features.  Session dates and times can be found by viewing the session catalog

NetWorker: What's New in 2013 There have been a lot of exciting changes in NetWorker since last year's EMC World. This year’s session brings you up to date on all the latest EMC NetWorker features. Topics to include: the latest developments with VMware functionality, snapshot management , usability, Data Domain Boost integration, enterprise applications support, and performance metrics

EMC Backup: An Insider’s Look at NetWorker’s VNX & VMAX Snapshot Management Vanishing backup windows? Need to perform multiple backups within a day for mission critical clients? Operational recoveries and DR in your turf? This sessions is for you. NetWorker brings snapshot management capabilities natively to NetWorker clients (without add-on modules), with seamless end to end integration that brings with it a whole lot of benefits, including wizards based discovery, configuration, simplified deployment and enhanced management and recovery experience

EMC Backup: NetWorker Backup of VMware with Data Domain Integration This session highlights the latest developments and integration points of an EMC NetWorker solution with EMC Data Domain and VMware. This tightly coupled approach offers efficient data protection with reduced management as well as minimal impact on production resources

There are also several other sessions that will provide insight into the EMC backup portfolio, including NetWorker.

EMC Backup:  Strategies for Backup & Recovery of MS Applications (Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Hyper-V) Companies today face the ever-increasing challenge of managing explosive growth of critical data, within shrinking backup windows. Efficient, flexible, backup and granular recovery options for Microsoft applications are needed to ensure that data is always safe and available. Come learn the exciting new technologies in EMC Backup solutions (Avamar, NetWorker & Data Domain) for Windows Server 2012, Hyper-V 2012, SQL Server 2012, Exchange Server 2013, SharePoint Server 2013 and more

EMC Backup:  The 12-step Road to Recovery - A Dozen Intoxicating Backup Demos in One Sobering Hour This session drives at a fast pace through the datacenter and remote office, focusing on applications and business challenges. This session also highlights EMC Backup solutions (Avamar, NetWorker & Data Domain) through demonstrations and explanations of product interfaces

EMC Backup: Design Criteria & Approaches for Optimal SAP Backup & Recovery Are you tasked with protection of a mission critical SAP environment? As the environment you are trying to protect grows, you struggle to keep up. Completing your backups within a continuously shrinking backup window becomes an overwhelming challenge. Your ability to meet your RTO or feel comfortable you can recover at all becomes questionable. Weeks of lost time could cost your company millions. Redundant data, similarly, is consuming your storage environment and just adds to management cost and complexity. This session discusses how EMC, NetWorker, Avamar, and Data Domain address these issues for protecting SAP environments

EMC Backup: Optimize Backup Performance with Data Domain Boost As the foundation for faster backup and recovery, Data Domain Boost enables faster, more efficient backup and recovery. This session highlights key DD Boost integration points with EMC NetWorker, EMC Avamar and third-party applications with a focus on performance and management benefits. The solution architecture as well as resource utilization are examined to demonstrate how DD Boost eliminates performance bottlenecks

EMC Backup: Big Data Backup Strategies with Data Domain for Pivotal, EMC Isilon, Teradata, & Oracle Exadata Big data environments suffer from the same backup challenges as traditional environments - not meeting backup windows and inefficient and expensive disaster recovery - only bigger. These rapidly growing environments require next generation backup and recovery. This session explores how EMC Backup solutions (NetWorker & Data Domain) provide faster, more efficient backup for Pivotal, EMC Isilon, Teradata and Oracle Exadata

EMC Backup: Beyond the Single Pane of Glass - Enterprise Management of Diverse Backup & Recovery Environments What’s missing from many backup and recovery environments is the assurance that backups have been successfully completed, that data is recoverable, and that compliance requirements are being satisfied. A primary reason is that the effort required to monitor and manage an increasing number and variety of backup and recovery solutions is overwhelming IT personnel. And, while technology such as EMC Avamar, Data Domain, and NetWorker are becoming increasingly scalable, manpower is not, which is why organizations strive to centralize management across large, diverse virtual environments. Join us for this session to learn how the new EMC Data Protection Advisor 6 and EMC backup and recovery management products provide comprehensive, management-centric solutions to help organizations reduce complexity, risk and costs, while maximizing visibility, insight and control to provide confidence in their backup and recovery environments

Data Protection Advisor 6 – New Features for Heterogeneous Enterprise and Service Provider Backup Environments As part of a broader IT-as-a-Service deployment, you need to be able to overcome the challenges of dramatic data growth, protection silos and pervasive virtualization in order to guarantee service levels. EMC Data Protection Advisor 6 works with EMC Avamar, Data Domain, and NetWorker and third party backup technologies to provide a unified, automated solution for end-to-end visibility, cross-domain correlation analysis, and self-service protection verification. Join us for this session to learn how Data Protection Advisor provides confidence and proof that virtualized mission-critical applications are protected. This session includes a demo and a presentation by Accenture
