Networker Sharepoint granular backup memory usage.

Question

Hallow all Please,Please help I'm having some problems with Sharepoint granular backup. backup succeeds and after the backup MOSSconnector.exe ist using a huge amount of memory. Normally our sharepoint server uses 3GB of memmory but after the backup MOSSconnector.exe service ist using 8GB, totaly of 11 GB! and after the backup it stays like that, when the new backup beggins it increases eaven more. We are lucky that we have a Virtual server and raised the memory easily. But is this normal? Networker faststart 7,6 server is on a Win server 2003 Sharepoint2007 is on a Win server 2008 R2 (Module for Microsoft Applications version 2.2.1.95) Thanx.

Hello,

NMM 2.2 Sp1 does not support Windows 2008 R2 OS. It will be supported in NMM 2.3, which should be released in late Q1 2011.

Said this, to release the memory used by MOSS connector you can restart the following service:

Networker SharePoint Service controller, this should release the memory used during the bakcup.
