Networker stops 1 mintue after services are started.. Help needed.
Haven't posted in a while but just wanted to get input from others.
We are currently running Networker 7.3.2 Jumbo Build 399.
We have never had this problem before so I will do my best to describe it.
On our NW server the Networker Backup and Recover Server service just stops. I have rebooted our NW server and started the 3 services (Networker Remote Exec SErvice, Networker Backup and Recover Server, and the EMC GST- Service) This is fine for all of about 1-2 minutes.. I can LOG onto the Networker management console then I willg et the error msg that a connection can not be made with the service and the server.
I check the services and the ONLY one that is stopped is the Networker Backup and Recover Server service. The other two are on.
When logging onto the NW Server, Windows is saying this with an eorros.
Error Report Contents:
C:\DOCUME~1\NIGELA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\2\WERa97e.dir00\nsrmmgd.exe.mdmp
The thing that sticks out is the nsmmgd.exe...
We have never had this problem and there have been ZERO environment changes with hardware/software.
Any advice would be great beause as it sits right now, I can't do restores, backups..etc Which poses a HUGE problem. EMC is telling me to upgrade to 7.3.3, which we are not ready to do since we have had such a HUGE issue with SNAPS... (litterly)

In the current version, I once had this issue but did not get the error you have mentioned. All I did was:
1. Stop NW & GST services.
2. Delete the contents of \nsr\tmp.
3. Delete the file \nsr\mm\compssd.
4. Start the Remote Execution service and wait for around a minute.
5. Start Backup & Recover Services.
6. Run nsrim -X twice.
7. Run nsrck -F.
8. Start GST service.
9. Keep refreshing services tab for a few minutes to see if the services still stop. If they do stop, repeat the process. I know it is painful but for me it worked everytime only after I did it twice.
10. Now open NMC and continue your work.
Believe me I got rid of this, the day I upgraded to NW 7.3.3.

Rename your /nsr/mm dir an restart.
After this do a disaster recovery with mmrecov.
