NMM SQL DAtbase backup.
HI
I installed the NMM 3.0.1 on our sql server.
The check config was all fine with one warning on a hot fix.
However when i go to add the client to the group. The databases do not show up. The host can resolve the client and visa versa by ip and hostname as well as short name.
So i tried the below commands with successful commands.
Why can i not see the databases in NMC when setting up the client?

Hello all,
This has been now resolved by adding the permissions in SQL for SYSTEM, as this is required (as per docuementation), as nsrexecd runs under SYSTEM account, and that us the accound that client wizard will use to retrieve the valid savesets through the remote agent nsrnmsqlra program.
Once we added it ad granted the permissions I provided in my previous screenshot we are now able to display all the SQL savesets.

Carlos is the man.
So you need the nt authority \system account because.
as he explained "Basically nsrexecd service (the main NW client process used to authenticate with NW server and vice versa) runs under SYSTEM account you can either change the loging account for nsrexecd (not suggested), or else add SYSTEM to the SQL login so that it can authenticate properly"
once done problem solved.

Just for sake of others. The requirements are on page 29 and 30 of the documentation emc networker module for microsoft for sql vdi. Release 3.0 sp1. it is not in the release 3.0 which I had downloaded. Thanks Again Carlos.
