nsrexec: SYSTEM error: No route to host

Greetings,

I'm trying to add a new client to be backed up. When I try to run the backup from the Legato server I get the error:

nsrexec: SYSTEM error: No route to host

nslookup on the Legato server translates the client's FQDN and it is able to ping it. I tried adding the client to the server's /etc/host file but it doesn't help.

The list of aliases for the client look OK.

The daemon.log shows this:
savegrp: command 'savefs -s solegato2.ctstateu.edu -c libctsvr2.libraryofconnecticut.org -g 0030-System -p -l full -R -v ' for client libctsvr2.libraryofconnecticut.org exited with return code 1.
* libctsvr2.libraryofconnecticut.org:All 05/17/06 10:45:06 nsrexec: SYSTEM error: No route to host

We have another client (libctsvr.libraryofconnecticut.org) that's almost identical (obviously a different IP address) and that has worked fine for a long time.

If I run the backup from the client with the 'save' command it works.

So, what am I missing here.

Thanks,
Vic

Legato: 7.2.1-1
Server & Client: Red Hat Linux

Sorry for the post, it turned out to be a Linux firewall issue.

Thanks anyway,
Vic
