Oracle module for Unix license issue

Good afternoon,
We have license issue after upgrade NW to 7.4.3 version. Message in daemon log is:

42506 12/4/2008 1:34:50 PM nsrd server info: Too many clients for license type 35 . Maximum is 0

There are two Oracle clients but only one is backed up. Both licenses have type D35 (it is correct type for Unix NMO. Both licenses are successfully enabled and authorized.

Have anybody any idea?

Thanks

What is networker module for oracle version you have installed? It should be NMO 4.2 or greater otherwise you might have that problem, if you are on Unix please check using: what $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libobk*

Also, what does nsrlic -vvvv says about the networker modules for oracle licenses?
Are they all taken

There are certain D35 codes which are not valid - nsrcap usually in very verbose mode will reveal detail which may be used to check that.

I have also seen some issues with 7.4SP3 and licenses with SQL and Exchange... perhaps Oracle us joining them now too. I would suggest to open this with support to check what is really going on.

Thank you. Installed (upgraded) version of NMO was 4.5 BUT physical version was 4.1 because there was still old link to nmo library (from version 4.1).
After uninstall and correct install is nmo backup OK.

Thank you for direction :-)

You can use Z35 license (Windows). It works fine, very very fine.

Only if your Oracle system is on Windows box.

We had this problem as described when we upgraded to 7.4.4. Oracle hot backups on Solaris clients were failing. The work-around was to install Windows (yes WINDOWS) NMO licenses. EMC seem to have screwed up big-time. I guess this will bite us again when we upgrade to a later release.
