possible inconsistent and overlapping file index information

Hello,

when we try to restore some date from a 3592 tape over the nwrecover GUI we get ->

sking for only 4773922588 bytes but should require at least 13838613144,

possible inconsistent and overlapping file index information.

Try NSR_NAMEONLY=n to run with stricter browser error checking

Recovering 14 files within /dumpfs/TSMXDB11/MXTST3/ into /legato_pool/restore

Total estimated disk space needed for recover is 12 GB.

Requesting 14 file(s), this may take a while...

Requesting 1 recover session(s) from server.

53363:recover: Recover of rsid 115348 failed: Error receiving files from NSR server `nsrhostg'

73724:recover: One or more recover threads failed to exit successfully

73731:recover: Parent recover thread exited with errors

52973:recover: Didn't recover requested file

Any ideas?????????

What NetWorker version is that? (both server and client).  Also, can you say a bit more about your backup (what OS, what file system).  And finally, did you try ssid restore too to verify restore can be done?

I believe I also have few 7.5.x clients for win2k boxes, but otherwise you should upgrade.  Same goes for backup server.

I assume it will take some time to read 360GB, but make sure first that works.  It looks as if there is some sort of mismatch between records when it comes to specific data you wanted to restore, but I personally never saw that error before (this is why I assume originally you were maybe running nw8).
