Yes, the tape with the indexes is mounted and it is read. I haven't try the scanner yet because you know is process that take more time but I'll going to try it and see if the indexes are recovered. I noticed this problem happend when you do an upgrading to Networker 7.4.x I have see it this in Unix and Windows systems as well.
I have two client with this issue. One with the AIX server where I don;t get any error message and another client with a Widows server, where I had some error messages. I thought that could be a OS issue so we reinstall it but still have the same problem. This is the error message that I'm getting in the Windows Server:
E:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin>nsrck -L7 omega nsrck: checking index for 'omega' 9343:nsrck: The file index for client 'omega' will be recovered.Failed to create directory E:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin\E:: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

About the AIX server I don't have any error message to post.
Do a search on Powerlink. I found an article there earlier. how do restore index from a 7.2.x backup. You need to do some actions on the filesystem. after the nsrck -L7. //Lars

If you try to run scanner -i on the saveset you want, does it add anything to the index?

nsrck -L7 -t "mm/dd/yyyy" client_name
and put here the outcome? Nevertheless, after that check if you can browse for the recovered indexes.

7.2.x and Networker 7.4.x?
Index should be converted first and then merged. At least that's what nsrck should take care of.
