problem with write protect

Question

i have install legato networker 7.2.2 on ibm server
i have use for retention and browse polycy a week

in volumes i look that

name barc. written used mode expiration
lunedi(R) xxx 200gb 80% recync expired

when insert this cartrige in tape i can not write, because is in write protect

how to risolve it

if put appendable mode , it's correct it works ,but i want overwrite

Vheck in mdb if tape is set to read-only mode (you can do it from GUI) and then change it to appendable.

Then simply relabel the tape.

If you want to use the balance capacity keeping the current data one tape safe, change mode to appendable.If you want to reuse the entire tape as it has allready been recycled, relabel the tape.

If you are keeping it in the same pool on networker 7.2.2, go to nwadmin and select volumes. Select the volume you want, go to the top and click volume, then change mode, then recyclable.
