Cannot see index during restore

I use Networker 7.2.2 and I ran into a problem in restoring Exchange EDB files. after scanning the tapes by using scanner -i \\.\Tape0, I can see the backup details in Volume but cannot see it from Networker User for Exchange. I found out that in the details of the volume, the Exchange server host name is shown as "~servername-2" instead of "servername".

Anybody knows what caused that and how to work around this?

Thanks in advance.

The procedure is right, when restoring from a tape which is not in the database of your networker server, you must have a client that was backed up and the naming scheme is ~clientname-#. So every thing is okay. If you have problem in seeing the files, try both file restore and save set restore in restoring, and also try to restore from another client and redirect them to where you need.
you can also try sccaner without any options too.
Give the details of those tests.

You can recover indexes using nsrck and then you should be able to see the indexes in NEtworker user also.

Thanks. But there's no saveset recovery option in Exchange restore.
This appeared as normal server name before. But don't know why it showed as ~servername-1 now.

Thanks for response.

Did that but received error. Looks like the index was corrupted.

Thanks for response.

Did you get EMC Support to look into this clientname issue?
