Anything beyond those 20 minutes from happening
Does that mean any backup fails which is running longer than 20 minutes ?
if yes, It could happen if your client is unable to maintain the connection with server for longer time. To fix this issue you should change TCP IP keep Alive value for your client.
Please refer to following document to see how to update TCP IP keep Alive value. It will require a reboot.

Are you referring to the group running for more than 20 minutes? Also earlier you said you started the backup with manual mode, were you referring to the starting the group manually on the server or a client initiated backup ?

Update:
Yesterday in 09PM start Task Scheduler and failed. 20 minutes later I visited the RDP client and Networker Console on your computer. Next run manually through the console task. .. Through the 1:40 the task completed successfully.
About TCP IP settings Keep Alive: I spent a lot of time trying to solve a problem with RPC and changed the settings on the server and the client:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\TcpWindowSize=256000
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize=16777216
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\KeepAliveInterval=1000
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\KeepAliveTime=600000

Hi
Have you executed manual one from server or client it self?
Try to execute the backup in debug mode level5 to get more details for error to proceed further one thing.
As such above details provided by you , according to that, Its look like the communication issue and unable to respond.
Try to delete the peer connection and execute the backup after that and let me know the output.

How much free space do you have on the client?

Hi!
On NMC i set debug mode level5, I have correctly set? (Or need to run dbgcommand on the server?)
I manually launch using the console on your PC (this is not a server and not the client).
Did not understand what exactly I need to do: Try to delete the peer connection?
Today error (see in NMC): Exited with exit code: Unknown, completion severity: INFORMATION(10), completion status: unexpectedly exited(2)
On client windows application log VSS error:
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error querying for the IVssWriterCallback interface. hr = 0x800706be, The remote procedure call failed.
. This is often caused by incorrect security settings in either the writer or requestor process.

P.S.
On the weekend I planned:
1. run chkdsk on the client,
2. same plan to RAID controller firmware update on client
3 on client install windows update (to fix the error event id 55) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2754784
