Recovering in another networker server
Hi,
One customer has 1 networker server with one library in one site, and another networker server with the same library on other site.
Can he recovery the backups from him primary site on him remote site?

If this going to be a one off then the customer can use scanner command on the remote server to create the indexes so restore is possible.
Is your question relate to DR?

Yes HabibG2, it's about DR.
If the primary site goes off, They want to restore in the remote site (another NW server with the same version and the same library) with the primary site medias.
Thanks.

Well, there is a complete chapter on DR in the NW admin guide which is quite comprehensive. May I suggest you go through it and ask for clarification on anything you do not understand.

DR is a little more complicated than just recovering backed-up client files from an old NetWorker server. I suggest you also have a look at the various steps involved in DR procedure..

scanner -i /dev/rmt99cbn
(or whatever the drive path the tape is mounted in is). Do this for all required tapes - this may take quite a bit of time if you have several tapes to scan in.
