Did you create the client using copy function from NMC perhaps? What it says is that you are trying to create client resource using clientid which does't belong to this server, but another one. Do it again, but remove clientid before you click ok.

Could be possible that you are trying to create a new client using a hostname which allready exists as allias to a client created before. Just recheck the error message, it should be showing the client name for the client.

Client entry is allready in the hosts list but not in clients list is strange. When you create the client, it will make an entry in clients list as well as hosts list. The only possibility I see is that the client has been removed from the clients list but its host list entry exists.

In such cases, when you create a client with same host name again, it would give you a message that an entry for the client & its client ID exists in the database. You can either enter a new client name or a new client ID.

Could you please post the exact message you are getting when you add a new client with this name under the Clients option under configuration.

Either client name you used is already listed as an alias to already existing client or this client used to exist in past and there entry for it in media db. Your support should check your resources, along with exact error message and mdb list and that's a 1 minute job to fix.

This problem has been resolved , by copying the client instance ID to the new one.

I have moved this thread from Powerlink Lite Users to networker forum because Jiju is in fact a customer.

Jiju - could you mark this question as a answered by setting a message to "Correct" or "Helpful" please. This helps us keep track of what's answered and awards points to those who have helped out.
Thanks
