Replacing Legato server

Can I move legato server to new server with out changing host id?

Yes - most probably they will get disabled so do not try that. And in that case you would have two machines (so that's more than update as I thought originally) so hostid will change for sure.

Currently it is running on 2000 Adv and this will be replaced by 2003.
Will it work if I'm moving server to same OS after a system state and file system recovery?

It depends on OS platform as different OS platforms have different ways of generating hostids.

Not sure about win2k->win2k3 path. I remember in old days if you had NT->win2k upgrade hostdid would remain same. Clean install with copy back would already have SID changed and hostid would change. We are talking about same box here. Win2k->win2k3 in theory should be the same story.

Is there any issues if two servers-current server and mmrecov-erd server(15 day license) are in same lan as they are using same enableers
