Reporting queued error: faulting application nsrmmgd.exe, version 7.4.3.0,

Hi Guys,

we are running 7.4.3 on a windows 2003 platform (SP2). we had a DR situation and brought everything back using mmrecov.

Everything is working fine but we are getting this error in the event logs:

Reporting queued error: faulting application nsrmmgd.exe, version 7.4.3.0, faulting module liblocal.dll, version 7.4.3.0, fault address 0x000142c3.

Fault bucket 1139371750.

Any ideas anyone?

Do you get this after box restarted again? If yes try 7.4SP4 on DR box (there used to be an issue with 7.4SP3 like yours).

Try deleting all tape drive resources and you tape library resource and recreate. The nsrmmgd process controls the tape library. It is possible that there is some problem in the config of the tape library / tape drives. You mentioned doing a mmrecov. This will restore your resource database as well, which in turn would cause the tape library config from your original backup server to be restored and could cause problems.

I saw that this error is fixed in 7.4.4. so we have scheduled an upgrade on NW server and SNs.

(Still seeing the error after re-boot)

Thanks for your input
