Reset Cleaning tape in Networker 7.3.2

Hello,
I am having trouble resetting the cleaning tape for Networker 7.3.2. I thought I could just type in the command " nsrjb -U default -j jukebox " but that does not seem to reset it. Any ideas on how you do this in this version of Networker?

Thanks!

I never tried that with 7.3.x version (mostly as I leave that to library management itself for years now), but what happens when you do:

nsrjb −U 25 −S

Just do nsrjb and send output. Of course, assumtion is Auto Clean has been set to Yes and the Cleaning Slots attribute points to slot above.

DLT as dlt7000 or sdlt320? Usually if you have newer tape technology 25 is fine. However if you would have something old lile dlt7k or dlt8k drives I would set that to 15 because those drives are really really used (even if replaced recently) and their impact to cleaning tape is more obvious than with newer tapes.

Cool, that worked!

Do you usually set your DLT cleaning tapes to 25 uses? I thought it was recommended to be used only 20 times.

Thanks again for the help.

We have DLT8000 and I usually set it at 20 uses for the cleaning tape.
