Yep.. in the client configuration of the source server, go to globals 2 of 2. Under Remote Access mention *@destination_servername. You should be able to get that server in the list now.

For your post is in EMC NetWorker forum I assume you are doing a backup with NetWorker and Modules.

So why searching Google and not EMC documentation?

This is very clear in this case.

Depending on the type of backup you are doing (VDI versus VSS-snapshot) you should consult the proper documents for your NetWorker module and you should find what you are looking for.

The information given about the backup situation is really not rich to give more details on the documents available.

Some information on the NetWoker and module version used together with the backup type is needed.

Otherwise just detach the database, make a copy to your target system and attach it there again.

Or you perform an SQL dump copy to your target host and restore it on this host.

Assuming this is a module based request.

- Go to the target SQL server.

- Ensure that the module is installed on this server too, and also a client instance is created in NetWorker server for the target client.

- Launch NMSQL, select the source servers from the list.

- carry out a copy restore (like you would do in a normal scenario)

If you for example want to restore an SQL database residing on Server A to another SQL instance on Server B, you must add Server B to the "Remote access" field for Server A in the client definition in NetWorker. This is true for any type of restore, not only SQL.
