restore of informix databse instance fails

Question

Hi!

I'm trying to do an imported restore (restoring one database server to
another).
I do the command onbar_d -r

but then nothing happens. In the xbsa.messages the following error
message is repeated every 30 seconds:

XBSA-1.0.1 ISM.2.20.TC1.116 4304 Tue Jan 08 13:13:57 2008 _nwbsa_is_retryable_error: received a retryable network error (Severity 4 Number 15): Program not registered

What does this mean? Is there something wrong with the networker
client installation on this host?

Platform: SpARC 32 BITS
NMI: 2.1
Networker client: NetWorker 6.1.2.Build.340

Can you do filesystem backups of that client? If you have any network problem, you should see that in these backups also.Try that and let us know the result.

Program not registered usually indicates there is an issue with either damoen running or how name/alias has been configured for client. Make sure also that remote access is set correctly.
