RPC Critical - Unkown Host
Hello,
Trying to add some new clients to my NSR Server but I'm getting the following error:
... hostname.test.com nsrjobd RPC critical ... :Unknown host
I've tested that both the clients and server can forward/reverse resolve each other.
Any ideas?

Did you install the NW client on these servers ?
Did you open the correct ports (7937 & 7938) ?
You can easily test this from the server if you try to connect via the correct port:
nsradmin -p nsrexec -s
and vice versa. Just exist wit "q".
Do not proceed before this does not run successfully.

Make an entry for the client on the backup servers hosts file and also an entry for the backup server on the clients servers file. You should be able to complete the add.

This worked....
Is this really necessary for every host in my network?
I must have something configured incorrectly in DNS?

Firewall turned off - same result.
That command doesn't work - just moves me into the nsradmin binary to execute commands.

Not always necessary ! I just have a few the new systems i configure behave this way. I have not been able to figure out the actual issue yet.
