Hi Is there a way to list the volumes needed prior to doing the restore with the brrestore utility...?

I don't know if brrestore has some kind of preview (at least in 3.0 it didn't have), so you must use mminfo / gui to locate the volumes needed. If you're going to recover a full backup it's easy, you just need to know the exact time you're going to recover from and then look for the backups of that day.

If you know what datafiles you wish to restore, you can find them via nsrinfo/mminfo combination (or simply by looking at daemon log which tapes have been used for timestamp you wish recover from).
