Sounds like a pretty tricky one.  One thing you could try a few operations in NetWorker (for example: create a new client instance, backup a small file to disk) to see if the whole thing is frozen or if it's just backups (or just backups to this silo) that are stuck.

You could try upgrading and hope for the best as there's a lot of newer versions than 7.5.1.  Otherwise, your best bet is to open a Service Request with support and they will give you a little utility called nsrgrab (not to be confused with EMC Grab) which you run on the server and it will take a copy of all the relevant logs that would allow us to see what NetWorker is doing at the time of the hang.  You could also have a look at the Performance Optimisation Guide to make sure you have everything setup like it should be, but either way the system shouldn't hang.

Can you give more details.  You say in title no data is being backed up; does that mean:

a) group is still running and there is no activity, but data was saved

b) group is still running and nothing was ever saved

b) is pretty much extreme and as such it should be easier to figure out what is wrong.  It might require some debugging, but should be easier to isolate.  If you could attach log from server to this thread it would give an idea of what might be going on.
