Serious problem with nsrlcpd on 7.6.2.5.
I just made the mistake by uppgrading my x86_64 linux/CentOS 5.7 networker server from 7.6.2.2 to 7.6.2.5.
And now my jukeboxes are not working at all. I have tried to restart the server, but nothing seems to help. The result is always "nsrlcpd is not running for this jukebox". I have two jukeboxes, one virtual jukebox for incrementals and one "real" jukebox with LTO4 tape stations for cloning. Neither one works.
Is it allright to downgrade the server? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Stupid me. It was just the old problem which almost always happens after boot. The scsi_ids had once again changed. It was just the error reporting that seemed different
So the obvious solution was to delete the jukeboxes and add them again with jbconfig.

I also learned about the benefits of persistent binding the hard way. The error messages are not helpful if you already don't know where to look.
Pleasantly enough, jbconfig appears to use the /dev/tape/by-id/ device names without any additional configuration required on RHEL6.
