I assume when running scheduled backup of sqlsv1 that works too... Can you tell me what window doesn't open - NW SQL window? I mean, is that "..not found" message by trying to run SQL user or by SQL user trying contact database?

Everything is configured as per the document.
The SQL servers are in cluster (MSSQL1 and MSSQL2). There are two instances: sqlvs1 running on MSSQL1 and sqlvs2 running on MSSQL2.
I am able to take the backup of sqlvs1 but not of sqlvs2.
When initiating the client backup on MSSQL1, the Networker User for SQL Module opens and I can take the backup of sqlvs1.
But when I do the same on MSSQL2, I am getting the error "the file specified is not found" and the window doesn't open.

Are you sure everything is configured by the book? Anything in xbsa.messages? What about client initiated backup?

The scheduled backup of sqlvs1 is working fine.
When I click on the networker user for SQL on MSSQL2, the error message comes " the file specified is not found". Here the NW SQL is actually trying to contact the SQL database.

Well, it could be also that link for icon is broken and can't find a SQL user too - right? (if window would open and if only after that you would get error that would be something else then)

This error is corrected in the latest build of the SQL module (build 184). As you're running on build 154, just do the upgrade.

Did you installed SQL module licenses for both sql servers?

The error which is fixed in build 184 was related to GUI only I believe - at least that is what title of that LGTpa said... If you try CLI backup does it work? Also I would assume scheduled to run then too...

I like such solutions :-) remember I solved one problem with sql backup after upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 or 5...
people buy licenses for software pay huge $$$ and get errors... and developers fix errors only in next version :-)

The worst thing is that usually the latest version is not avaliable for download, and then you have to open a case about your problem to get the latest version that will fix your problem.

Hi,
I have reinstalled the SQL module 5.0 in both the servers. Then also the situation is the same. sqlvs01 is happening on MSSQL01 but when starting sqlvs02 backup on MSSQL02 gives the error :
"Error detecting SVS root path for sqlvs02.corp.exlservice.com
The system cannot find the file specified"

Then I moved sqlvs01 to MSSQL02 and sqlvs02 to MSSQL01.
The backup of sqlvs01 is working fine without any error. When I initiate the sqlvs02 backup.
it throws the same error in the starting but after that it takes the backup of databases.

You are still using old build of module - did you speak to your support about this?

shreejesh,

Why you try to connect to same machine (C3W2K3X77-SQL1) with different users ?

Are you sure that your client configuration for database sqlv02 is ok ?

Why you use different users to backup these databases if the users are in the same domain ? It´s sounds like permission/security issue.

Are you sure the user CORP\vaibhav4908 (vaibhav4908) have the same permission on sqlv02 that CORP\animesh12441 (animesh12441) have at sqlv01 ?
