Switch From Tape Backup to Cloud Backup
We are currently using Networker version 8.0.1.1.
Our goal is to (1) upgrade Networker to the latest version, and (2) move our backups from tape to the cloud using TwinStrata.
Are there any unique license requirements to move from tape backup to cloud, or do I simply need to upgrade?
I realize that I will have to upgrade to version 8.2 before I can upgrade to version 9.x.
I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you in advance.

TwinStrata is now marketed using the name EMC Cloud Array.
With Cloud Array you can offer up shares from it using iSCSI to Windows or NFS to Unix/Linux and establish Networker Avd_File devices on them.
Using this approach you would need to ensure your Networker is licensed to for backup to disk.
