to reduce index size

Dear All,

I am using Legato Networker Version 7.3.0.2 as my backup software and windows 2003 Ent.as Backup Server OS.

My full backup takes 25 SDLT tapes and my index file is growing at an alarming rate.

Is there any way to reduce index size?

or

Is there any way to customize the index size?

Your index size depends on number of files and browse policy you select.

wether i can compress this index or change the index path on a drive which have more space? thus preventing space issue
