Un able to backup client in different subnet
This client is in a DMZ. It is nat'ed on our internal IP subnet to the DMZ. I'm able to ping it by name and address from both sides. I ran rpcinfo -p on both sides. The host files on both the backup server and client have the long and short name.
nslookup does fail, but my client points to external DNS servers, so obviously I'm not able to add an entry for it. Is there a work around?

You didn't say what you error was, I would start from that if I were you.
