Unable to connect Server - sql MOdule 5.1 SP2
hi,
we have Networker SErver 8.0.2 on win 2012 server, we install agent client on the same server and test a file system backup successfull.
on library SL150.
on the same server we install sql module 5.1 SP2.
on the same server we install sql server 2008 R2 and SQL-DMO package.
when start Wizzard client configuration on step 3: specify the client backup options
we have error:
UNABLE TO CONNECT SERVER
we disable firewall.
please your help to solve the issue

Your backup server is installed on a SQL server !

hi crazyrov,
we try to instal module for microsoft, but we got error:
"you can not install modulo on the same server of Networker server......."

Have you tried setting the client configuration manually. The command is nsrsqlsv and the saveset is MSSQL:
adding to this NMSQL 5.2 is not compatible with Windows 2012.

Max,
You will have to use NetWorker module for Microsoft application and not NetWorker module for SQL. You can download this from support.emc.com.

the command is only nsrsqlv?? without any options?
and how can backup for only one database, ?

yes, networker server and sql server 2008 are in the server 2012 win server.
this sql is only for test.

You should really have separate and dedicated server for backup server - period. NMSSQL was never tested under win2k12 so you are pushing your luck. If you wish to have backups, you should make sure at least that you have supported environment.

yes the command is only "nsrsqlsv" to backup only one database use the savesets as "MSSQL:db_name". But again as already told NMSQL 5.2 is not compatible on Windows 2012.
