Upgrade Networker from 7.2.x to 7.3.3.

Hello,

How to proceed upgrade to v7.3.3.? All I know is to uninstall the previous version and install the new one but the previous data base should be kept.
Our Customer has 93 clients in several groups, three dedicated Storage Nodes, mostly on windows environment but also on Open VMS.
Because I will not be able to upgrade all clients within a day, is there going to be a problem if some clients will be v7.2.x but the other will also be upgraded to v 7.3.3 just like the backup server konzole on v7.3.3. My questions is: if the scheduled jobs on 7.2.x are going to run even the server is already upgraded.
Are there any other upgrade proceedures that I need to pay any attention.

Thanks for any advice,
Best ragrds,
M*

You'll have no problems with 7.2 clients backing up to 7.3.3 server (at least you should not have problems), you only need to have server and storage nodes with the same version.

But remember in 7.3 you have to use NMC to manage the server, so you may need to see where to install this. Also, you'll have to have a Upgrade License in order to do the upgrade.

One point of caution, when you uninstall, make sure you do not remove you metadata for both your servers and your NMC. Else all your configuration will be gone. Obviously there are ways you can recreate them - painful!

If you upgrade to 7.3.x you should copy \nsr (with NW stopped) in a safe path as a precaution. It's my recommendation.
