vm backup using hotadd
Hello,
we use VADP proxys. I don't know when this started exactly, the backups are not monitored closely. but as of now FLR VADP backups are backing up to a data domain box at 500kbps instead of their normal 20+mbps. if I disable flr and perform a full backup, I get the 20+mbps speeds again. im going down the list of possibilities, one thing that I checked was the file xfer method. the last time I checked, I was using hotdd, but now it is using nbd.
we have esxi 5.5 enterprise, and networker 8.1. the error is listed as 83065:nsrvadp_save: The following internal error occurred: An error was returned from nsrvddk.exe: Error opening disk, [LUN62_VNX] VUSSQL02/VUSSQL02-000002.vmdk: VDDK Error: You do not have access rights to this file 80430:nsrvadp_save: Could not mount the VM as a file system. Exiting
how do I verify in vsphere that the vadp proxy has access?

Hi check name resolution and connection between your proxy and your esx on "hostname output"
Network connectivity must be available between the VADP proxy server and the
vCenter Server managing the ESX server cluster. it also requires connection to the ESX
server system.

name resolution is fine. the vcenter server, esxi host and vadp proxy can all chat and xfer files between eachother. the issue is hit and miss as well. sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
I have also tried changing the user that initiates the backups. that did not resolve the issue either.
