VSS SYSTEM FILESET: backup behavior

Question

Recently added a customer that has the VSS service. We use a large amount of custom report scripting, which 'forces' us to specify each filesystem to backup, using ALL is not an option. My question is regarding the VSS SYSTEM FILESET: saveset, it appears to backup fine when running full backups, but incremental backups it defaults to a skip. Was wondering if that is normal behavior. All the other VSS savesets run fine, granted they run as fulls when the backup job is set for incremental, but that's the nature of these special filesystems. Thanks, Dave

If there is no change they will run as skip - this is normal and documented. SYSTEM FILES usually do not change unless you add patch or service pack (or do manually change).
