There isn't an NCM version 8. Do you mean NCM 9.2? NCM 9.2 requires java version 6.X, NCM 9.2.2a is version 7.X
Sorry Disregard, I thought you were referring to NCM, Network Configuration Manager.

Connecting to my nmc:9000, i get this:
However, it is 8.2 sp1. But My 8.2 also worked upto Java 8

Hi David,
I supposed you are asking about Console Client ( NMC client). Then the Java Runtime environment (JRE) should be 1.6.x or 1.7.x , depends on OS. Full table in "NetWorker 8.2 Installation Guide"
