Why NetWorker server is disabled.
Hi Friends,
I got an error while creating the device with networker 7.6.
Error : 'create failed: Cannot create a device when the NetWorker server is disabled. Check alerts and logs for information on why the server is disabled
could you pls help me how can i resolve this issue.

Yes, you need to check alerts and logs to see why it god disabled in the first place. Once the source of disabling is addressed, it should get enabled and you'll be on the run. Usually, this happens if your license has expired (or you didn't enter it) or if duplicate license is found on some other server (if you have it).

Usual reason for NetWorker server being disabled is you have passed the evaluation period without entering an Authorisation code which is given my EMC Licensing.
Another cause can be you have two NetWorker servers using the same enabler codes - when this happens they disable each other as codes should be specific to one datazone.
check within registrations to see if you have authorisation code entered, if not contact licensing supplying your code and hostid so one can be generated for you. You could also do this online via Powerlink.
