3024 - a switch with major issues

Question

Ok, so here is the 'story' We have two 3024 switches, both connected to Cisco 2924 switches with Spanning Tree enabled.  Basically this is the traditional Box Layout: X --- X|        |X --- X Where X represents switches mentioned above.  Cisco's work perfectly fine, no downtime, no connectivity problems, and in addiiton, have no problems with 'broadcasts'.  For the past several weeks, both 3024 switches crash, stop sending all packets and require a physical reboot.  It is as if they are completey frozen.  I made sure all the firemware was upgraded, and this problem still continues even today.  So, I called up Dell Tech support after reading this forum. Dell's tech rep tells me the same old 'you must have a device on your network that causing broadcast strorms'.  I was like ????  I have several servers connected to both the Cisco and the Dell switch in a load balanced/fault tolerent setup, the Cisco does not drop the link or freeze, but the dell does.....he then admitted that it must not be a device then.  He basically then offered to replace the switch in question.  But his offer had one essential problem.  Both 3024 switches had the exact same issue.  Now, come on, both switches being from bad build batches??? They were purchased 2-3 months apart!! Dell is not willing to upgrade the switch, just send me a replacement.....what more downtime....so we can test Dell's 3024 for them?.....please.....sigh* These stories do not make sense.  Dell needs to fix these faulty switches or upgrade the customers complaining.  We, just like everyone else, bought Managed Switches so we could manage them, and here we are not able to connect since we have connectivity problems and the switches are terribly instable!!!  Reading another post on the forums, I have disables CDP on the cisco switches, (very infrequent packet type).  I doubt they will stay up and running anyway... More than likely, I will be contacting Dell again and asking either for a full refund, or an upgrade price to a switch that works. my

oh and by the way, when they crashed, I had a screen shot of the console: Assertion 'rq->buflen == (rq->endbuf - rq->buf)'Crashing the system...
