Well did the replacement work? We have had a few replaced, in fact, now I am so fed up it is cheaper to by CISCO 2924 swutched than these unreliable 3024's
Yes, the replacement has been working fine. Just make sure when you get the replacement to put the latest firmware on it if it is not already there. I now have several 3048's and 3024's working fine. (knock on wood) The 33xx series are a definite improvement, although not as easy to configure if you are not familiar with switches and routers. I have a 3048 stacked with a 3024 as our primary switch, and 13 outer buildings connected via a Bay fiber switch, the outer buildings having 3048's, 3024's and 3324's. The nicest thing I have noticed is the fact that when there is a power outage, the Dell switches come back online when power is restored. Our old Bay switches did not, and with the power going down every time the wind blows the wrong way, I grew tired of running to every building to reset the switches. ( The only UPS is in the computer room with the primary switches) Hopefully, everything works out OK for you, I had some hair pulling experiences with the 3048 at first, but again, seems fine.

I'm seeing the same problem with some 3024's. They continue to pass data, but rebuff all attempts to log into the management console.
Is there any fix for this?
