Crossover
Question,
This switch will be used (2724) on a small office network of 5 PC's plus a server. Do I need a crossover cable to uplink it to the router? Other than that I'll set the admin passwords and give it an IP I like and then it looks like I'll be good to go. At least I hope that's the idea

LePhantom,
All Dell switches support Auto MDI/MDIX which means they will autodetect the cable type needed and convert, you can use either cable and it should work.
