DELL N2000 802.1x multi-host

Hi,

I am testing a DELL N2048-ON Switch with our Packetfence NAC Solution. 

The DELL Manual tells me, that it's possible to authenticate more then one device per port (for example via a small stupid switch behind the 802.1x enabled switch port)

In this case, is it possible to use real 802.1x ?
Or is it only possible to authenticate the devices via mac address (MAB)?
