DHCP Snooping weird behavior between switches

We have a mix of PowerConnect 5524/48 and N2024/48 series switches.  When we first enabled DHCP Snooping everything was working as it should.  However, after several months we started having problems with legitimate DHCP offers being blocked.  At first, we thought the problem was with the local switch, but further investigation showed that the problem was with the upstream switch.  We rebooted the upstream switch and DHCP Snooping worked for about two weeks, then the problem returned. We have disabled DHCP Snooping, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar problem.  Could the fact that we have a mix of PowerConnect 5500 switches and N2000-series switches be an issue?  Any suggestions?

Ken

Hi Ken,

I haven't seen anything jump out in your configurations or logs. One question, is ip dhcp snooping trust enabled on the DHCP server interface?

I suggest updating the firmware, boot code & CPLD. The firmware is way out date and there are several fixes available.

Thank you,
