Dynamically assign ports to VLANs based on source MAC?
Is there a way to configure a port on the 6024 and 3348 switches to dynamically become a member of different VLANs based on the clients MAC that is currently connected to it?
Example
Client A who is a member of VLAN100 connects to port located in a conference room. Based on Client A’s MAC switch port becomes a member of VLAN 100. Later in the day Client B who is a member of VLAN101 connects to the same port located in the conference room. Switch port would then dynamically change to VLAN101.
I believe Cisco implementation of this is called VMPS. In short I want dynamically assign switch ports to VLANs based on the source MAC address of the device connected to the port.
