How to set SNMP for work with PRTG software

PRTG can be connect to swith throught V3

 

So we have create, under Dell 3548, new group and then news user.

 

We have authorized this to read information on SNMP and now work fine ! :)

 

The only question we don't have solved is how to "exclude" from monthly bandwith usage traffic that is local.. we are working on this now :)

To set up snmp, type

console(config)# snmp community su

 

use the ? after any part of the command to give you other options. So by typing

console(config)# snmp ?

it will show you the commands for creating hosts to receive traps, for instance.

There should be an option to view a vlan as a logical SNMP interface, so you only measure traffic ingress and egressing a vlan, vs. physical ports.  It is sometimes ifIndex.VLAN_ID, depending on the switch vendor.

Yes, there is VLAN, but is out of SNMP menu and don't found SNMP refer :(
